Getting a Tango for a client
Therapists have been incredibly enthusiastic about their experiences with the Tango. They're impressed that success often comes more quickly than they've ever seen before. And they've been delighted at how enjoyable the therapy process becomes with the diverse communication options offered only on the Tango.
As you probably know, there are many ways you can help clients get information and do the work to fund an AAC device. Let us know how we can help make that job easier. Loaning a Tango
If you'd like to try the Tango with a client, or learn about it yourself, just give us a call. Loaner Tangos are in great demand, so our loaners tend to be given out for shorter periods. Additionally, to ensure that we share the best experience possible, we ask that you take an "Intro to Tango" webinar before you receive your Tango, and another "How to use the Tango" webinar once you receive it. We also ask that you try to get a Tango loan for a specific assessment. Let us work with you during that period to make sure that you and your client have the best experience possible.

"The Tango was absolutely wonderful for my student, Rachel. She used it effectively, very quickly. I have an anecdote to share that happened today: I arrived to see Rachel, and she asked for her backpack. She then told me she needed her comb. I proceeded to comb out the snarls from her long hair and secured it into a braid. In all of the years I have seen Rachel, she was never able to initiate a topic of conversation on her own. It brought me to tears to think of the impact of that interaction. I am now hell-bent on getting her a Tango of her own. Dealing with Medicaid is difficult, but we have decided to pursue any alternative we can to secure funding." (Barbara J. Raymonda, SLP)
"After only minimal practice, a young man I work with was able to independently order a Sprite at McDonald's, pay for it, and say, 'Thank you, have a nice day.' " (Peggy Toonen, SLP)
"My one student just beamed when she got it. It took her no time at all to figure out how to use it and begin to socially interact with her peers." (Jeannine Zieroth, SLP, Schools)
"I am wonderfully impressed by the tango! Its release has made my job easier as a speech language pathologist." (Dick Lytton, SLP) |
